Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut

I love this game

Game play is semi turnbased. In combat it is fully turnbased outside combat it is point and click with some elements putting you into a non combat turn system. The world building is brilliant with more depth and gameplay options that sr returns without the verbosity and sheer amount of text presented by sr hong kong. I personally think this is the shadowrun game to start with as it has the best balance of gameplay story and has more items than returns ( although not as many as hong kong)

Beneath a Steel Sky (1994)

amazing

There is something about this game that is unique it does suffer from some quite obtuse puzzles (which admittedly i looked up a walkthrough for after hours of trying everything with everything) All in all the story is interesting and the world something different to what you will see elsewhere.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons

rubbish

already own it on steam which cost me 1 cheap csgo skin and it was terrible even at that price for a £2.39 pinata dupe its even worse value. the two main characters are more annoying than likeable, the game is far too short and the puzzles are blindingly obvious

Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition

Brilliant but salty

A real gem of a game with beautiful visuals, and enchanting sound track, and an enthralling story! The game is mainly played with the mouse for those who are wondering although there is an extensive options menu that allows for many different actions to be bound or rebound to all of the keys on the keyboard. In just under 40 hours of playing i have had only 1 crash and 2 serious frame drops (the game crashed them when it was reloaded played fine for about an hour before freezing for about 5 seconds at the start of a fight and again during the fight when an enemy spawned 2 summons and then after about 20 - 30 seconds the game unfroze and began to run sluggishly. This happend within one hours of the crash and restarting the computer fixed all the issues, and i suspect it was a bug causing memory leaks ( for reference my hardware is an Nvidia GTX 970 and an Intel i5 4590, the game was installed to a secondary 1tb western digital caviar blue HDD) Overall the gameplay has been brilliant. Admittedly the first few hours can be a drag when you are doing the tutorial and trying to solve the murder in Cyseal. (don't worry that's not a spoiler you are told that in the opening cut scene) But once you have gained a level or two and leave the city you will begin to have no end of fun! The only let downs of the game are: 1: A miss click will kill you (you character will go running through poison and fire to stand behind an enemy instead of just hitting him) 2: Some times you will win a fight only to have the last member of your party burn to death a moment later forcing you to reload an do the whole fight again. 3: Traps will often kill you more than fights will. 4: Bosses are harder than anything that you will have fought leading up to them. ( for instance the fight against Braccus Rex is A LOT harder that the fights against the Lord of Bones or the Twins joined by Fire which are not hard so much hard as time consuming whereas the fight against Braccus can kill you before you get your first tun if your characters don't roll their initiative well and you will be barely an inch from death throughout the whole fight. To summarise this review Divinity original sin is a delightful experience that doesn't hold you hand or force you down any paths. Unfortunately the a few flaws that you encounter will leave you raging for hours and you wonder why you character was poisoned buy walking near the ooze or shouts "I've spotted an trap!" and then promptly goes to stand on it killing the whole party in the process. I hope you have found this review helpful and wish you many hours of enjoyment with the game.

Hotline Miami

Has potential

Im going to assume you have already seen the many positive reviews or heard at least one of the many people banging on about how great this is supposed to be and just tell you the main problems i have found. 1: If you rebind the movement controls to anything on the left side of the keyboard the game wont recognize them despite allowing you to bind those keys, leaving you unable to move. (although lefties being ignored by game devs if all too common buy games) 2: The sound is painfully loud with no way to turn it down in the game, (there is a volume control for the music but not for the other sounds) meaning either physically turning your speakers down or altering the sound levels in the volume mixer if the only way to change that. 3: The flickering bright lights of the game and its UI can be painful after a short while and give you a headache. (although this is entirely subjective and won't affect everyone) Overall the main problems with the game Isn't the gameplay it is the severe lack of support for lefties and the complete non existence of any meaningful options menu.
