The premise of the game is that you are head of a government project trying to be the first to discover new technologies. This might seem like a boring premise but it is full of diplomacy, espionage, counter-espionage, and more. That being said, the game itself and the story that evolves with in it is a bit flat at times. There isn't a whole lot of "story." The short couple sentences above is pretty much it. Events, especially during exfiltrations, are basically completely random. Your agents have "stats" but it doesn't seem like they matter at all. When you fail, the game really punishes you for it... that can be okay but the randomness seems to make you fail A LOT. Also it seems pretty easy to get behind, and once you do there doesn't seem to be any way to catch back up. Essentially the game devolves in send person to place, do thing, and then try to get out and hope the roll of the dice doesn't kill you in the process. Rinse and repeat. All in all, it is a okay to good game with some great visuals and backstory but replay-ability is really only there in unlocking new characters to try and rinse and repeat with.
On paper this seems like it would be a great game, but unfortunately it is fully of glitches, bugs, clunky controls, and completely idiotic broken AI. It is so full of issues that it feels like you are playing an Alpha copy certainly not even a Beta or Full Release. At this point the game is pretty unplayable. Maybe they will get things fixed upcoming but for now I would stay away.
Great experience of a game. Basically the board game Clue (Cluedo) on steroids. Your goal is to find out what happened on the ship, and what happened to everyone... but this isn't as easy as it sounds. The game is all about trying to find details in what is happening, and making connections... again not as easy as it sounds as some connections are pretty obvious while others take a bit of a guess. Overall, this is a great game but it does suffer from some negatives. First, the art style, while really cool, does make some details really difficult to see. Second, there isn't a hint system or even a tutorial, so it can be difficult to figure out what is going on at first. Third, even if you are correct there isn't any immediate confirmation, though you do get confirmation once you solve 3 instances. Lastly, the biggest one is that there really isn't any replaying this game. All in all, if you get it on sale I think it is worth it to give it a go.
I agree with the other reviewer in saying this isn't really a game. It is a set of stories with some choices, though I question how much affect your choices really have (I'll get to that later), set to some stock photos. It wasn't really an interesting experience to me. I would have expected more than just a bunch of still stock photos to some badly written stories while I was playing. I was expecting something like 80 Days where I felt like my choices mattered. Here it seems like you are more railroaded in to a specific decision or that it doesn't seem like your decision matters because the story plays out the same no matter what. For example it is annoying to choose to do an option and basically being told "Nope, can't do that." All in all, I wish I could get my money back. It certainly isn't worth the full price.
