This game is way more fun than I thought it would be. Great ship customization, interesting encounters and decisions to be made. A lot of things you will have to figure out on your own, so keep that in mind - that's what the notes are there for, apparently!
No, it's not XCOM, but it's a turn based strategy. Yes, it gets easy after a couple of missions, but the missions are fun. Yes, it's 100% pure WH40k flavor, but keep in mind it's not voice acted for the most part, so prepare for a lot of reading. I loved it.
What can I say? The decision making system in this game is very minimalistic, yet very, VERY well done. You can really emerge yourself into the main protagonists of the game. The combat is XCOM brought to perfection. Tactics is key, but it's not like the game is ufnair in its difficulty. Soundtrack is awesome. It really fits the mood of the game. I highly remommend it.
From what I understand; most negative reviews of this game come from an earlier version, which I haven't played. The Redux is really good. Tactics is important, but so is luck.As for the difficulty; I had a really hard time beating FTL on easy, so such challenges are not something new. The game is fun enough to keep you trying over and over again, untill you hit the right button.
