Brigador: Up-Armored Deluxe

Very awesome

Brigador is awesome. Play as a galactic superpilot in a giant mech brawler, a pathetic nobody in a rikshaw with guns and everything in between. One of my favorite playstyles is the sneaky artillery platform. This is also one of the 0.1% of games where the story is actually worth reading. Everything in sight can be destroyed 10/10

SpellForce 3 Reforced

Unfinished trash

This game has tons and tons of loading screens, and they take forever. It is unplayable. I feel stupid for giving money to the ones responsible for this mess. I have a high end pc too. By default the camera is so close to the ground that you can barely see what's going on. To zoom out, you need to edit a config file in the game directory. The graphics look beautiful but are disfuctional for an RTS, where clarity is very important. If you can somehow look past all the technical issues of the game, you find that this is warcraft 3 but worse. Gameplay is very slow and resource gathering is more tedious than it needs to be. How about the story? The story fails in the first 60 seconds of the game, because you are a general who goes after the evil wizard with two other dudes. The whole point of being a general is to lead an army, not do everything yourself.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Mediocre

Overall Bloodstained is mediocre, but some parts are outright bad. The worst part of Bloodstained for me are the boss fights. I disliked them so much that I just sat next to the bosses, spamming flame breath in their face while chugging potions. Balance is also totally absent. 5% Of spells and weapons are godlike, while the remaining 95% is garbage. Most areas are extremely easy, but some are hard in an annoying way. The game is impossible to complete without a guide, so get used to alt tabbing. Immersive right? Immersion doesn't matter anyway, because the story and characters are uninteresting. Luckily most of the story can be skipped. Normally a mediocre game would receive three out of five stars, but there is huge competition in the metroidvania genre, and one does not have to search far to find competitors that are just better in every single way. Even the old Castlevanias are all better. With no innovations at all and so many better games, Bloodstained has no reason to exist.

Cossacks 3

Very good!

Cossacks 3 is awesome. The sound of hundreds of muskets firing never gets old. This era and setting are criminally unexplored in video gaming. + Beautiful and clear graphics. Compare this to other modern rts games where everything is brown and filled with special effects so you have no clue what's even going on. + Economy and army are reasonably easy to manage. + Good music + 17th century French dragoon, Polish winged hussar, Swiss Jaeger - Exploding buildings. The most frustrating part of Cossacks 3 is that every single building is filled to the brim with TNT! If you conquer an enemy base carelessly, you will lose over half your army to exploding buildings, especially mines. What were they thinking?? Mines OP! - Campaigns are unchallenging, boring and buggy. The story and writing is good though. - Download that cannons fire automatically mod in steam workshop, it is mandatory. With an army of 3000 soldiers and an economy to manage, do you really want to micromanage every single cannon shot? - Attack move command feels clunky Online everybody seems to agree that none of the DLC is worth buying.

Heroes of Might and Magic® 4: Complete

Rough diamond

Heroes of might and magic 4 is, in my humble opinion, a rough diamond. I love: - Unique and superb style. Heroes 4 features some of the most beautiful creature graphics, surroundings, music and storytelling you will find in a video game; All in perfect harmony with each other. There's no stereotypical division between good and evil or cartoony warcraft 3 graphics here. - Heroes. Hero skills are interesting, varied and all hero classes are useful in their own way. With great innovations, creature design, surroundings, music, hero choice, hero progression and story, what could possibly go wrong? Many things go horribly wrong, and heroes 4 is one of the biggest disappointments in gaming. What I truly hate about heroes 4 is: - Braindead ai. When you approach the enemy with even the tiniest of armies, he will run back to his castle and stay there until the end of times. The ai will never attack you, even when his army dwarfs yours. - Sieges. Winning a siege without an order mage is impossible, and seeing your powerstack of archangels die to a pack of orcs on a turret is infuriating. Cyclops on turret = gg. - Neutral creatures. Because the ai is so dumb you will mostly be fighting neutral creatures, which is boring.
