It's a third person squad shooter with abilities. The combat kinda plays like Mass Effect. The story and acting is decent. My biggest complaint is the horrible AI of my squad.
Game is basically kotor but with a non starwars story. The story itself is very interesting, the gameplay has a lot of meele with a somewhat clunky camera, but I like it. The world is open but not chaotic, with the best size in my opinion similar to games like some Mass Effect planets and Kotor. Honestly, super underrated.
Arkham Asylum stands out from the other Arkham games by being a more polished straightforward experience instead of focusing on the open world, showing that more isn't always better.
Repetitive gameplay consisting of spamming the same five enemies over and over again even sometimes 30 seconds after I cleared them. Dumb fetch quests, bland story, loads of collectibles 99% of which are not worth reading, the worst map layout I've possibly ever seen in a game, I spent more time looking for the right way and dealing with the overbearing enemy spam than actually playing the game. Unintuitive/broken controls (the fight with hartman was bugged for me as I couldn't stagger him). Only good thing is the graphics.
This is considered the black sheep of the Arkham games but it's imo better than Arkham Knight.
If you are a fan of the movie you should play this. It's not amazing or anything but it does act as a sequel to the (excelelent) 1982 film and provides decent closure.
Also the first one was better but the second one is good too. I liked the french accents and the sense of dread in the first one more.
