As a high intellectual who has played other games from the Darksiders series, I took the opportunity and started on Apocalyptic and boy it was hard for me, as a Dark souls tryhard I could feel what they tried to do with the game giving it the elements of dark souls, that's where I didn't like the game in the beginning due to dying over and over, as a Darksiders II fan I really wanted combat like that, yeah it's easy, putinig it on high difficulty does make it a bit different as you have to be careful when and how to dodge, but as death who has and amazing dodge not a big problem when you time it, where as Fury you don't have much choices, most mosters poise through your attacks, block them, can hit you through timed dodges which is really not fun, but playing the game more and more, I liked the story, got used to the combat as well as being a bit stronger to not get one-shot I could finally get used to timing, the game does indeed need improvement and balancing but overall in it's own way it's good takes some time getting used too but I like it, it's Darksiders, the game I waited for so long, of course I'll like it. That concludes my thought of this game, hope some of you find it helpful and thank you for reading I hope the game will improve. P.S. You should have not changed Death's voice actor that killed me :(
I played this game as a kid, then played it again, and again, every 2 years at least I passed it, so I wen ahead and bought on Gog now. You are the overlord and you have some interesting choices in the game, be evil or good each with each own benefits, tho being evil improves your edge so *wink* *wink*. You have your own little minnions you command everywhere to destroy, save, take, kill, and they have their own cute armors, you can choose how to fight command all different minions either use them all at once and let them die and summon new or find ways to win without losing them since they will lose their armor anmd weapons and be weaker, a cool little detail, it's a very fun, iteractive, evil game, I really liked playing it.
