CD Projekt Red has managed to create yet another brilliant world to engage players in, one that is immersive and chalk full of life, just a bit broken. PROS: * Immersive open world * Great combat + rewarding stealth mechanics * Atmospheric environment (music, setting, sound effects etc) * Engaging RPG elements * Incredible characters + writing (I cannot stress this enough) * Top notch music (I do wish there was more 80s synthwave tracks but its legit good) * Ease of (given!) controls (see CONs for a bit of detail) * Superb performance * Tons of stuff to see and do in the world * a world with cultures that feels alive And now, onto the CONs. * Lack of keybinding rebinding support * Lack of some common graphic/system settings (toggle for ADS, disable head bobbing, etc etc) * No quest cycle * Weird double tap dash * Massive desync of objects, NPCs, items and buildings * Quest issues: including order problems, quest locks such as a quest telling you to do something you already did and simple quests not activating. * Massive amount of bugs: anywhere from graphical, to sound, to key reaction to even models. Nothing seems game breaking/save breaking, but it can be quite annoying. * Character creator is far more limited than you might expect * Performance related "BUGS". Stuttering, cinematic 20fps etc Overall the game is amazing, but it does have its issues. I remember when Witcher 3 first launched, it was a technical mess, but look at what we got out of it at the end. Yes, it is frustrating to buy a game and experience these issues, but I trust the developers to have them sorted quickly to make it a truly "perfect" experience. I will edit this review as patches come out and the more I play the game, but right now I honestly recommend it if you can get around the bugs. If bugs trigger you something fierce though, give it until the end of the month! :) Rating: 4.5/5 (shit review word cap!)
