The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

Game of the century

I have played the Witcher 3 GOT on PS4 but will replay it on PC soon. One of the best RPGs I have ever played. Main Character and NPCs: Geralt and his personality is convincing from minute 1 to the endgame. The NPCs are adorable and one can kinda fall in love with some of them (romancing). The mix between main story and sidequests is excellent. Also the recommended player lvl as indicator very useful to have a kind straight forward progress in this huge open world. The world: full of minor and major decisions all with some consequences later in the game. An impressive overlap of decisions in sidequests on how the main story develops. DLCs: impressive, While Hearts of Stone gives you a good opportunity to catch up with leveling your character before finishing the main story of the core game, it is also integrated perfectly in the story. Blood & Wine is for me exactly how the endgame in an open world should look like. Completed it after the main story of the core game. Lovely Toscana atmosphere. The picture of the end sequence is still in my head and it fulfilled me as a player after so many hours with full satisfaction and proudness that I finished the storyline of this great game. Being a 3rd person advanture it is perfect to play it with a gamepad. The world of Witcher is huge, but also extremely rewarding with a great mix of difficulty-challange and progress. The game offers a very atmospheric experience full of emotions, action and an exciting story.

Cyberpunk 2077

Great atmosphere, authentic world

I purchased Cyberpunk in Nov. 2021 and played it on Geforce Now. Overall a very good gaming experience. 70+ hours played. Mixed main story and side quests. Completing most missions can be done in different ways: sneaking, assault, long range or even meelee, lethal or non-lethal. I am more an RPG player than Shooter but I was curious about the game and if the glitches and bugs are really that bad. Fortunately my gaming experience was not affected or ruined by technical issues. Overall I got what I expected. The mix between shooter and rpg elements is OK, but of course the focus is more on shooting and action. Attributes and perks are not that important as in other games like the witcher 3. I would recommend for the first 20 hours playtime taking perks that are general and do not specialize on a specific weapon. Hacking is a good choice to support/compensate any fighting style Once you tried every weapon you should specialize and pick 1 or 2 weapons to stick to. Items, loot system and crafting a bit chaotic but you can complete almost every mission with any weapon of your choice. While crafting is not so relevant at the begining it gives big advantage at the endgame. Driving: not as smooth as geralt was riding the horse that was semi-autopilot but if you pick the right vehicle it can be fun. Generally in the town I took a motorcycle, sportscar on the highway and SUV in the desert. Open-World vs. main story: I would recommend to focus in the first gaming hours on the main quest and later more and more on sidequests. Difficulty: balanced. However the one or the other quest may be more tricky to master e.g. brawling sidequest. Music and sound: love the radio and different music styles in the game. There are still some sound issues like clacking and dialogue glitches. Main Character and NPCs: for a shooter ok but do not expect such complexity as the witcher 3 offered. Overall I am impressed and looking forward for more content and DLCs.
