Z: The Game here on GOG isn't probably the game you are looking for. It's neither to original (and awesome) DOS version nor is it the Win95 version of Z with the "Z Expansion Kit". No, it's only the crappy Android port, originally released in 2012. The biggest problem: the awfull controls. It's really annoying to play the game on a PC. Other flaws: - the AI and the pathfinding is different from the original game - there is no multiplayer. Why? - there are a lot of bugs in the game (issues with XP, invisible buildings,...) So, I understand that there a legal issues releasing the original game. But why make the game worse than the original? If they can fix the issues, 'Z: The Game' would be a nice addition to GOG but in this case, it's a pointless waste of money.
Wow! What a game! In my opinion, and I player SC2K a lot, SC4 is the best game in the series! It offers everything you expect from a good city building game, perfect micromanagement, beautiful details, statistics, etc. SC4 is nowadays a classic, a game, that fits perfect into the portfolio of GOG - Good Old Games! And yes: SC4 is older than 10 years so no problem to offer it on our beloving platform! ;-)
Works well on Intel Core i3 HD4000 (Win 8.1), but the game is still not really funny. It's not a platformer, but a puzzle game: How can I reach this are? How can I get to the next level? Biggest problem: The game starts fun and fresh but looses his lightness very fast. After some hours, the game becomes more and more a "work game" with very little fun. It's a pity, because the game received extraordinary scores...
The Raiden series is one of the iconic shumps of the 90s: Fast gameplay, never ending action and one of the must pushing soundtracks, excellent fitting the on-screen bullet-hell. Everyone that loves shumps must play this game! It remembers me of my own time in arcades an - and this time was awesome! Thank you GOG for this wonderful set of breathtaking action. I can feel my instincts again! PS: Sadly, there is no Raiden 2 in this compilation. :-(
