The gameplay is great, the characters are fun, the graphics are nice, the story is reasonably entertaining. What breaks this game for me is the checkpoint system. If a game requires you to redo things over and over and watch the same cutscenes over and over, all it does is just destroy any kind of fun it has to over. You can only save between levels. Within levels, there is checkpoints which are sparsely placed and thus require you do fight through the same sequences again and again. Also, all checkpoints are placed before cutscenes so you end up watching the same sequences over and over.
