Considering the manoeuvres Blizzard have made against Gog recently...I wouldn't be surprised if a mod updating all the graphics etc "honouring" Blizzard's re-release pops up fairly soon...if not already ;D Well worth OWNING this classic pair in a form that you KNOW will continue to run regardless of any future PC upgrade. Well worth the cash ;) (GZ Gog ;D).
In recent years we've grown quite used to massive map sizes and overly complicated game mechanics. Chasm, whilst not one of the best of it's kind, is fun thanks to the updated engine providing K&M control, various other improvements, it's a fun, if occasionally confusing, old skool romp.
Oh YES! I've been playing games since 1982 and have been obsessed since. 2D RPGs and 1st Person open world RPGs have always been my favourite. I played so much Ultima 4 on the Master System I once woke up still pressing the buttons during a battle! This (Skald) hooked right into that old sensation of "I'll just take a peek down this path..." only to watch the sun coming up through the curtains seemingly a moment later! Just the right combination of modern software with 8-bit art, old school game mechanics, wonderful start to a story and that "need" to go around the next corner. This will be mine...oh yes! It WILL be mine ;D
