Stellaris: Galaxy Edition

Surpassed all expectations!

When I purchased my copy of the game I expected a science fiction game similar to some of the older turn based games. I was pleasantly surprised to find the depth in this game is immense! I haven't been unwittingly drawn in to a game like this in some time. You begin with one system and must explore and build from there. It sounds tedious at first but it isn't. You will be entertained for hours by the story of exploration. Your scientists will constantly be discovering novel and bizarre things in the deep reaches of space. Some are very short flavour that will make you wonder or laugh. Then there are the research projects that turn into interesting stories. Of course, there is also the DLC story-line. I was honestly kept guessing as to the end, until the end. Diplomacy is another gem. The interactions and development between cultures is very complex in a realistic and pleasant sense. I have been playing for awhile now and I honestly look forward to more every day. I hope for more DLC in the future and foresee myself playing this game again and again.
