I like cozy games, but this one is mind-numbingly boring. All you do is click cities, explore a bit lifeless slop, watch your caravan crawl, buy low, sell high, repeat. The story is on rails, the gameplay is monotonous, and the only “challenge” is babysitting a water meter while random events hand you or take away resources. It’s tedious, not fun.

I purchased the game on GOG, initially believing the localization issues couldn’t be as bad as some claimed. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The localization does a great disservice to the game, robbing it of the charm that made Murayama's work so special. The persistent bugs, alongside the flawed localization, turn what should have been a triumphant revival for Suikoden fans into a disappointing missed opportunity. It's truly disheartening.
