Very unbalanced combat. It relies way too much on skills rather than on pure logic. How can you miss standing head to head against enemy? Even shotgun does it! This is just dumb... Ideally skill must affect your accuracy based on distance to the target, but not on some stupid random generator with probability rate. Funny thing that developers made very lame hack to this mess by throwing around tons of healing items. Seriously, it often feels like I'm walking around pharmacy warehouse. In the end this game just doesn't respect your time and requires you to grind, but there is major trap: you must make right decisions in leveling up or else game will simply punish you if you won't focus only on few skills. Don't even try to make main character universal for every situation. And as a result you absolutely can't play this game with one character, you are required to drag around huge crowd of different specialists, so each of them will do their job when needed. And I especially hate when games restrict you from playing in lone wolf style.
First game was so much better than this sequel, it really blew me away when I played it, so how about this one? This game puts a shame on its developers and shows how sequels shouldn't ever be made. It really is like betraying your own legacy in pursuit of modern trends, but those trends have absolute zero value because they reflect how soulless modern game industry became today, when new games are made in the same fashion as any other consumer product. But I don't need your stinking consumerism in my beloved games!
All fans of the series hate this game for reason, but if you're not one of them then it won't be that terrible for you, that is unless you played Blood Money before, which is true masterpiece. For me personally this game is real abomination, it totally ruined well established formula of previous games, and even kinda killed my interest in all consecutive games. Well, partly because there is no more music from Jesper Kyd but mainly because it feels like IOI lost its original vision of Agent 47 and I can't forgive them such negligence.
Great example of how horror games shouldn't be made. All you can do here is to run and hide like the last coward in the world. And this is the cheapest gameplay mechanic ever, if you ask me. Literally anyone can make such games these days and there are tons of them already made.
