Easily the scariest game I have ever played. This game does everything perfect. The truth is, this game is horror in it's best and purest form. The pacing is flawless, everything is great. The best part for me, however, is the way the game chose to introduce the dangers you face in the castle. Instead of simply playing a loud noise and having the enemy jump at you, the game slowly introduces music, and the enemy slowly begins to hunt you. By not using a jump scare tactic, the game allows it's atmosphere to stay intact, keeping you on edge, and making sure you don't get angry instead of scared. The game's story isn't all that great, but it's quite interesting and serves it's purpose very well. One of the few bad things to say about this game is the following: Some of the puzzles are fairly unrealistic. Now, for the most part it wouldn't matter, but at one point in the game you have to balance some sand bags and put them at the correct height to make the pressure of some water do what you need. Doing this is highly unrealistic, and took me out of the game's world more than it should've. It happens a few times, as well.
