Heroes of Might & Magic IV is an amazing entry in the series because expands on so much more than what HoMM III expanded on. It has a new 2.5D style which has it's problems such as it's harder to move around in battle enviroments but works so well because it makes it feel more like a battlefield. The character models look amazing not only that but the factions and characters are extremely memorable with the factions units being well chosen even the merging of the necro and inferno faction from heroes III and calling them the death faction is brilliant. The renaming of all the factions were great too. The nature faction has a creature portal which obviously makes them my favorite faction. Now having units travel without a hero is amazing game design because they don't need a person that sits in the corner and waves their wand not to mention heroes are now ON the battlefield which really makes it feel like the hero isn't lazy. There are 6 campaigns in the base game with 18 in total with the expansions, all of them are memorable of course. Overall Heroes of Might & Magic IV is a game that took risks on the formula but it really pays off in the end unlike Heroes V. It took risks which makes it AMAZING!
