Vampires Dawn 3 - The Crimson Realm

Game review

One of the better RPG maker games out there imo; I'd give it a 4.5/5. The good Story: story is quite good (not Final Fantasy level), but interesting enough to kept me playing until the end. Graphics: good for RPG maker game. Lots of different models (not just 3 sprites recycled over and over again) Combat: classic JRPG style, good enough tactical depth. Some enemies will require more than just spamming attack (especially true for boss/special enemy battles). No random encounters is always great. World & Quests: big world map and a lot of side quests. Some of them can end in very unexpecting ways. Quests usually have more than 1 solution, each having different rewards. In game system/mechanics: game offers several interesting in game mechanics and resources. IF/How you utilise them, is up to you. The neutral: Game can be a bit too grindy if you want to focus only on story as difficulty increases fast (for me personally, this was not an issue, since I wanted to explore the world anyway). The not so good: Some english translations are missing and text remains in german. Some general bugs with you/NPC moving out of bounds. Some weird interactions where NPC was removed but when interacting with an object game still acts like it's there. NONE of these however had any major impact on the gameplay itself. The bad: On several occassions characters and their actions/dialog felt inconsistent. This applies mainly to Asgar (MC).
