After taking 34 hours to 100% this game, I can confidently say you probably already know if you're going to get this game or not. It serves it's audience well, but on it's own it plays well and the unique mechanics bring on a balancing act that the player must learn to manage and how risky they want to go through the game. Some parts can come across more irritating than anything, but even so they aren't difficult to work around. As a warning for because of what appears to be a fault on GOG's end, you need to use GOG Galaxy to get the correct version of the game (v1.0.1.0). It was reverted from an unstable build (v1.0.1.2b), which Galaxy handles correctly, but if you download an offline installer it provides you with the unstable "v1.0.1.2b" build and it tends to crash easily. Also, down + magic quickly restores your health albeit less efficiently. Only found out how to do this in the last boss fight... on new game+.
