I played this game when it first game out and ragequit it before I could leave the first star system. Now over a decade later, in playing the Remastered Collection (and being warned that it was just as unforgiving as before), I figured I would pick it up and give it another try now that I had "matured" as an RTS gamer. Not to be. This game is still very flawed. Beautiful, a cleaner and more refined premise, but still a messy tactical strategy space game. Many of the keybindings will NOT work. For example, salvaging and boarding don't work. If they do, and I have scene YT videos where they did (bc I wanted to make it work for me), I was really disappointed that I couldn't do it. And harvesting required constant micromanagement. This is an issue in the very beginning of the game when you are caught by the enemy while you are harvesting for the first time. I DON'T recommend this game. There are far better RTSs out there with better implementation. -2 stars for look and story
