Wont recommand buying PC-Version_ Might be a good game in terms of story and atmosphere, but cant recommand buying since it has the typical flaws and problems that comes with games based on UE4! transition stutter and shader creation stuttering.. When it comes to developing a videogame its more then just writing a great story, its also about actually programming and optimizing! Optimization is a art and it seems like Devs these days are not capable of that anymore sadly :/
Since im a huge fan of games like with its own pace and like to pull you in.. I personally love games with dense atmosphere and this is sure one of them! Maybe a short disclaimer it mostly reading and text, so it's not directly a visual novel or text adventure but also not a typical Point&Click adventure. The Story is super exciting and pulls you in and if you let that happen you'll get a awsome videogame experience out of it!!
It's on of those Classic People still talk about and sadly with a great portion of nostalgic delusion! so to say if you try to play it today, you better stay away from it. It has a great start no doubt and gives you that Cthulu feeling just right... Privatedetective in a grey, mysteries, fictional eastcost City "Innsmouth". But as soon as you get weapons the game transforms into a standard shooter, no horror at all at this point, apart from the horror of game crashes, not working mechanics, clunky controls. Sadly not enjoyable anymore today! People need to be more self reflecting about games they once loved and played decades ago.
As a huge Dark Souls Fan myself i was really looking foward to this, since i loved the artwork of its world! Wish i could explore this world further, but everything from controls and UI design is shockingly bad... So to say the game is a complete train wreck :/
Sure it starts with a more or less unique gameplay idea and the pixelart is nice to look at... But the more you progress, story, humor, everything just gets worse and worse. I was really looking forward to this game, after adding it to my wishlist long time ago, but this is just aweful. :/
If you enjoyed playing Part1 of this franchise, i recommend playing Part2. It just gets better and better, so get your dimes in and play!
If you appreciate a good dense atmosphere in a game like me, i highly recommend playing it! love the david lynch like soundtrack. Playing with headphones in the dark late night is a must for this. Show the developer some love and play!
Well im not the biggest fan of the original Vampire Survivors.. but i enjoyed other games of the genre and this one is hands down one of the best out there! I highly recommand getting it, plus the Soundtrack makes you enjoy it even more ♥
