Ah, Resident Evil 2, one of my favorite games of all time. There is a reason why it's considered a cult classic by many. It reuses the already incredible basis of the first game, but does everything bigger, harder, better, faster. Get ready for an awesome game with brutal horror, action, exploration and a story for the ages. What is even better is that, along with the traditional infinite weapons you have to unlock by completing the game with the best rank, there are a ton of unlockables in this game which will keep you entertain for quite some time : first, when you complete the game once, you have the possibility to redo the whole game... In the other character's eyes! Far better than the system of the first game (where each character was its own dimension : the stories of both Chris and Jill were not compatible with one another), here, you will be able to see what the other character was doing during your first playthrough. Be ready for a new adventures, with some twists along the way... Which I won't spoil to you! Once you have finished this second playthrough, you then can start a fresh new game (without loading a save file) with your second character. That's right : what would have happened if both characters had exited the flaming car in the opposite direction? You now have access to the second version of the story, with then again quite the number of differences!! When you have completed your two other playthroughs, you still have the originally secret scenarios, unlocked by default on this GOG version, under "Special" in the main menu... Good luck! Last thing to note (VERY IMPORTANT) : the audio is unfortunalely a very bad quality on this port. The solution is very simple - download the high quality audio files at the Rebirth Mod site. Then, go to the game files (normally under GOG Galaxy/Games/Resident Evil 2), and then copy paste the first three directories in there (COMMON ; PL0 ; PL1).
