Played on Steam; hated it. A game where you try to 'CANCEL, BULLY' and 'NORMALIZE' behaviors. Behaviours I find appauling, mostly being done to 'FORCE' people to obey than to allow them to think for themselves. Could have a cool game about musicians beating things up like in No Straight Roads or Hi-Fi Rush. But it's been mostly 'MIND CONTROL' a crowd to go after one person while beating up robot's with a baseball bat. I don't reccomend this title; if ya got kids, point them to something from the Good Old Days and keep them far away from this one. I Reccomend buying another game on GOG avoiding this one: Game's I would reccomend? Witcher's 1 through 3, the first at $10, 2nd at $20 and 3rd at $40 full priced. Maybe Cyberpunk 2077 with their new DLC or Fallout 4? If it's still here to purchase, Warraft 1 and 2 would be good buy's as they are in Gog's Restoration program. Dragon Age Origins would be a good investment of time and money. Maybe Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2?
This is, without a doubt, the greatest 3D Fallout game in the entire series. There is moral ambigutiy, Sci-Fi, A modding community that has created SO MUCH for it. The game is so good that it has put Todd, Bethesd and whoever owns Bethesda TO SHAME. They will NEVER be able to make a game as good as this one! Kid's quiting Fortnite are trying games like this, they are trying SNES and NES, SEGA GENESIS, THEY ARE TRYING OLD PC GAMES!!! Bethesda has been outdone and outshined. No wonder they won't hire Obsidian back. They did their job and then some.
There is nothing else to say about Sam and Max: Save the world other than it's the exact same, multi-episode game from 2006 from 'Culture Shock' to 'Reality 2.0' and the season finale 'Bright Side of the Moon'.... with some extra bells and whistles. It's a Point and Click mystery solving game wtih each case just as or more bizzare than the previous one. Though if anyone remember's this Duo before the age of video games, bizzare is their specialty; so much so that Chtullu walking down the street with a tommy gun and uzi, swallowing the current President of United States of America while singing the Oscar Meyer jingle using bag pipes made from a cow's stomach harvested from a factory made of glass and orangatangs is basically a weekday afternoon occurance to them, right after lunch. The whole mouthful of a paragraph sums up what they are, Max being the psychotic one out for justice in his own derranged metal state and Sam being the middle man who just enjoys being a freelance police officer enjoying the company of his partner. Just watching the two interact with job after job and the puzzles you need to solve is entertaining in itself. Any big changes from the 2006 version to this one? Well, the screen ratio has improved drastically, a FAR better use of lighting from scene to scene and in sections of chapters, such as the day to night change in Chapter 1 Culture shock near the end when you find the 'Mental' home for child actors... and the soundtrack is vastly improved; The Soda Poppers tune, Too Useful to Boot, War, All of it feels like a refreshing breath of fresh air. The puzzles to the classic require a little creative thinking unless you've already played this and begin blazing through everything and some are just entertaining to figure out/ I'm happy to see a remaster, but would pay to see another 'new' season or installment to this pairs capers and insanity.
What else do people want me to say? it's just another Banjo Kazooie like game with some new and fun elements. The ability to explore worlds and even EXPAND those said worlds further. The characters are likeable, the idea of in-game currency is also sort of a welcome addition and some of the humor is pretty spot on with it's predecessor, including some humor they we're able to get away with they normally wouldn't allow to get away with under nintendo. There are SOME problems I have had with this; the lack of a map. The game world or worlds I've so far explored are HUGE! and that is no under statement; I've had to make crudely drawn maps just to track myself down to where I am even at. It becomes more required when the worlds expand further out. It's also problems like this I can see why they changed the last Banjo Kazooie Game into a custom vehicle-like game when they mentioned the worlds we're getting to big; I've had to litterally ROLL everywhere to get from point A to lord knows where else. That aside, the worlds are MASSIVE and colorful, so there's plenty to explore providing you don't mind getting lost for the fun of it. The music is catchy and upbeat that it makes the exploring the worlds feel as nostalgic as it's predecessor. Team 17 has done an excellent job bringing another plat-former to the front when the whole world has been observant of only either FPS, MOBA or RPG games. If they have a sequel for the pair in this IP; I would love to see what they do next!
