INSOMNIA: The Ark

Pleasant surprise

Interesting RPG with great atmosphere for those that want a break from modern games. - great dark sci-fi setting with Fallout wibe - interesting story from russian developers is somewhat different from what I was used to. And thats a good thin. Took me about 50 hours to finish - combat was ok and not that difficult as it might sound from some reviews - I liked the visuals/sounds/music - the role-playing systems and equipment management are ok, but sometimes confusing (I am still unsure how the experince work in the game) - there are lot of bugs, mostly nothing game breaking, but save a lot and on different slots. Game obviously still need patch or two, but seems the developers are no longer supporting the game - also some quality of life improvements woudl help the game pacing, it tends to drag sometimes - pleasant surprise overall

Cyberpunk 2077

Most atmospheric game in a long time

I do understand that console owners are disappointed by technical state of the game, but I honestly do not get the hate this game is getting here on PC. Sure it does have a lot of visual bugs, but I havent encountered any quest or game breaking ones as of patch 1.2. Currently I have feeling that the game is not worse in that regard than any (for example) Bethesda open world RPG. Yes, the game and some of its mechanics for sure needs some polishing, but it is in no way unfinished. During my playthrough I havent got feeling that it is empty with nothing to do as I see people complaining all over internet. I am now convinced that most of those hates comes from people that expected something that is not possible to make. My personal feeling is that the game shares the strengths and weaknesses with Witcher 3. The overall impression and atmosphere is great. Graphic is amazing, if you got strong enough machine. Voice acting and sound are also really good. Quests are very unique, personal, emotional with superb character building. There is ton of lore and written text all over the Night City. And all of this kept me interested for over 100 hour long gameplay. Combat system, RPG elements, side activities and everything else is serviceable, but tiring and repetitive if you stick around and do all of the open world stuff. But it is the same feeling I had with Witcher 3 and every other open world RPG out there.
