I preordered this game and then waited five years to actually play. Pre-ordering might not have been my best move, but finally playing this gem definitely is one of my best decisions ever. The main story and some of the characters are really immersive and pull you into the game. Shooting mechanics are okay and there's a boatload of flexibility in how you want to develop your character. The driving mechanics aren't the best and some side quests are meh, but so far those are the only gripes I have.

One of the best RPG's ever IMHO. Must buy.
It's just as fun a game as I remember it. The good old HoMM-style turnbased battles still do it for me. It's a very colorful game too.
