This is a game for those patient gamers who don't mind doing heaps of little misc quests and dying over and over again. While I probably made it more challenging by never using a shield and refusing allot of NPC help, this game is quite hard. I thought everything was done pretty well: The combat takes a bit of getting used to but after a bit of practice and a few level ups it's really quite fun. The magic was probably one of my favorite aspects of the game (I regret not being a mage). Many a gorgeous in-game morning I cast a levitation spell from the highest point of the island and gently floated over the beautiful landscapes looking for a new place to explore. The quests can get a bit tedious but they're all quite varied and I enjoyed most of them. By far the biggest drawback for me was the end questline. It looks good on paper but it just didn't seem to work, I got a bigger sense of achievement from finishing some of the side quests than I did for completing the actual game. The only other problem I had was with the nameless hero, he's a bit of a jerk and it didn't really feel right saving the world with him. Overall I'm glad I bought it and I did enjoy it though I'm not sure whether I'll ever play it again.
