Great game. Unfortunately on my Win 8 laptop, it crashes a lot. Each time it's at the very beginning of scenarios or at the very end. I am pretty sure the problem comes from the cinematics.
I had absolutely no problem playing RCT2 on my Windows 7 PC. The game works flawless, it didn't crash once and I have been playing over 15 hours and finished almost all scenarios in the "Beginners section". I remember having bought this game back in 2002 and I absolutely loved it. I also got RCT 1 in 1999 and even though there are not much changes between the two, RCT 2 is an awesome game. It can become a bit repetite however as missions are very similar.
