A very good and beautiful Point & Click. Puzzles are not too difficult and the harder ones can be skipped. The only problem is one point of the plot : the very german biased vision of nuclear energy and blindness to their addiction to coal and methane. Hopefuly , the quality of the adventure and characters are saving the day.
The atmosphere is nice and the story is interesting. But sadly the game suffers from many very classical point and clic flaws. For exemple, there are many objects you will need later and you know it so you will want to grab them and the game will say "NO! you have to wait for the story to allow you to do that 5 hours later". An other example is the confusiong right click / left click controls : the best way to play the game is to at least left click twice on every object/door then right click one. If you don't do that you'll waste a lot of time. Illogical puzzle: YES! have a walkthrough with you. Game breaking bugs : YES! Sometime an npc won't give you an item and you'll have to restart the chapter. As usual with Spiders games, the worldbuilding is great. Even if this time it's not a RPG, The team managed to create an interesting setting without that many text and dialogue. As usual the quality of the game impoved and... that's all for the comparison! This time it's a soul like action adventure and it really looks like an AAA production, environements and design are beautiful. On the gameplay side it's very good and efficient, combats are fun and challenging. The assist mode is perfect and make you able to finetune the difficulty by adjusting several parameters like damage reduction from ennemies, energy refill rate ,etc. Every soul like games should have this. The only downpoint is the optimization that is not good at all, do not hope using the best textures. Anyway, I expected a good game and in fact I had a Great Time.
