S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl - Enhanced Edition

Originals are Great

The Originals are great, the EE too if you know nothing ;) The original game is really Great, the atmosphere just somehow hits with its unease bleak you may die any second to something that will jump or shoot you in abandoned buildings feeling that is hard to describe but you get. You run across firefights two factions had, some survivor on the floor, begging for help "Brother help me!" he cries, or insults you if its a bandit. Or you come across zombies, slowly shuffling towards you, shooting guns they can barely aim, and if you hide, you can hear them talk how they miss thier mother or daughter and daddy will be home soon.' Yes, those zombies always spoke slurred Russian. Talking how thier daughter has become so grown, or a little bit left to go home, i beg you don't hit me... and even crying out that it hurts when you shot them, and crying on the floor they have to get up. This all is gone thanks to removal of Russian voice acting. I don't think these ever where translated, well now its lost forever, unless you play the original. The game still uses the xray engine, but it become buggier, somehow they shoved AMD FSR into it and unless you set it to native, it will be very blurry. I don't think they properly trained the up scaling. The best part is the Gamepad support addition, honestly. The TLDR: The Stalker series is great, the first 3 titles, those are great and if you can, try the originals, then maybe with mods for them like the *-complete mods that add cut content, and perhaps even Anomaly if your done with them. How you mod the games is up to you, heck i prefer the Gunslinger mod for these, which i doubt will be ever coming to the EE, cause those require a modified engine, which the community been working on since 15 years+

BIOMUTANT Mercenary Class DLC

Ok for the price?

Neat class. That is if you want to do dual wielding.

BIOMUTANT

Ignore the Press...

While i can see why some would dislike it, its probably cause they focused on the main quests purely. When its entirely possible to get totally sidetracked and end up way off course for the main store and experience a rather fun exploration if a diverse world. Yes it is a bit small considering the trailer made it seem like you could go into a snow area, this still in, but just not as big as one would imagine, Its quite a walk but rather small and considered a extreme zone whereby you need some resistance via clothes or other. This applies to other non-green zones too. Combat was frustrating at first but once you get the hang of it, it starts to open up and seem fun. Though i can understand why some hate the left click for Guns and right Click for Sword actions. Its meant to switch quickly been both styles and chain up special moves for a quick finisher type of Kung-Fu style fight. Not sure if i describe it right, but it feels well done, even on hard Difficulty its rather fun, but if you just play and never focus on upgrading your gear, your going to have a hard time and hate it like the press, i suppose. Overall its really good and even has a New Game+. Almost feels like DMC (combat, but easier to get into but high skill ceiling? to chain special attacks) and Skyrim (world) in a way. If you play Kajit and everything is Kajit. fyi, your not missing out if you don't have the Mercenary (preorder) DLC, its only 6mb of content. And its easy to do similar style of fighting as any of the other class, once you unlock the dual wield skill.

Cyberpunk 2077

Rough Launch but Wow Mamma!

This is just really amazing, Story wise, i finished it twice so far, and keep on getting and finding something new. Yes there are bugs, but its an open world game, its really hard to polish such things when the Player can in ways the developers never thought of. And even when i tried to sequence break, it somehow worked out and would not let me per say, unlike the TES series where you could skip 90% of the story by just climbing paintbrushes to the end. Either way, the story is TOP! If you can just slightly ignore Car Roach spawning inside other Cars after you slammed the spawn Car button too often, or even fill a House with all your Cars you bought and can summon. It might break immersion but you quickly find out how to avoid these bugs, most of them are gone by reloading the game. Mind you that happen to me after doing 8 Hour sessions. Sometimes things just go weird. But with Patch 1.06 I had no crashes to Desktop so far. Runs perfectly fine on Ryzen with RX 5700XT. Most of the bugs folk had were with slow hard drives. There is even a slow HDD mode for this. But so far i cannot regret buying pre launch and waiting few days after it came out for a few patches, and it might just get fixed more in 2021. If you dig the Cyberpunk universe in general, its a great Gem that should be Played. At least twice. To see more than one ending and both Voice Actors getting screen time.

Grim Dawn

Its great but...

The intro, story and so far game play really captured me, it seems more guided and linear than other games, but those are usually less interesting, so its quite still good. Graphics do look dated, for 2016, but once you play a bit longer, its hard to notice it and it somehow starts getting pretty, not to forget the fun it also brings to the Table. But when i wanted to play with others online, it forces me to use GOG Galaxy, there is DRM in this and i cannot be bothered or want to use GOG Galaxy, and requiring something like that for online play is DRM, so i bought in the end, half of the game i could have gotten.
