The game has a great and exciting formula with its fast-paced Tomb Raider-like third person shooting mixed with hack and slash mechanics. A very well defined action-horror themed game. The amount of gore is off the charts, and you'll leave entire rooms trashed and caked in blood and your enemies hacked to pieces by Raynes’ blades. Their blood curdling screams or pleas for help as she drinks their blood make it more intense. And one level that can be the most terrifying of all. Overall, the original BloodRayne is still extremely fun to play. It has lots of flaws and if you’re not into games that are this quickly paced and action focused, you might not like it. And, the fixes and improvements of the Terminal Cut are extremely welcome.
