Yes, there are quite a few fetch quests, particularly in the early game. Yes, many quests require an unnecessary amount of backtracking. But screw that: if you liked Gothic 1+2, this is the real deal. You have a huge and beatiful world to explore. Carefully hand-crafted, with something interesting to find around every corner. Interesting and wacky characters to meet. And complex quests with alternative solutions to complete. I enjoyed all 100 hours of my first playthrough. Don't forget to tip the devs if you had as much fun as I did ;)
