I'm not lying when I say I enjoyed this open-world game just as much as Red Dead Redemption 2. However, this game gets absolutely demolished by game breaking bugs, so I don't think it deserves any good words from me. Here is what you should expect if you want to buy the game in 2024: - Want to run the game above 60 fps? Sure, go on, just deal with the overlapping dialogue, crashes, black screens and what not. The game speed being tied to the fps (this is not a joke) means if you run it above 60 fps you will ruin the whole experience. - Turning weapon debris and wetness on grants you a whopping x2 crash to desktop chance multiplier. - Flickering objects all over the place. - being anywhere near Boston city (or any area filled with many objects) sucks your fps dry. - Game breaking bug with the cryolator weapon and other freezing weapons where you can break respawning enemies. - Constant CTDs out of nowhere. - The loading times bro... - The Automatron DLC is a bug fest. There's one particular bug where you look at a locker in the mechanist's lair and the game instantly crashes (again, not a joke). Also, the sentry robots' head lamp will make your game run at 3 fps like it's a powerpoint presentation (when you reload a save). And these are just what came into my mind atm. Look at the unofficial patch mod changelog to see what Bethesda didn't care to fix. Also, at the time of writing this comment, the next-gen patch is not available for the GOG version for like how many months now? But it's probably for the better, it only caused more problems for people playing on the Steam version. Please, consider waiting for patches (never gonna happen at this point) or play with bug fixing mods. It is near unplayable without mods. I'm so sad Bethesda abandoned it...
