Dangerous Waters might be my favourite game of all time. I don't review games, but felt I had to here. I own the physical version and I own it on Steam. Over the years this has gotten harder and harder to run on modern machines. I reached out to the devs a year or two ago asking if they had plans to fix or upgrade DW, but had no reply. Also advised I was happy to help test and QA. It is good to see it on GoG though, DRM free. That's worth an extra star. However, I'd expected that at least some work would have been put in to make it more suitable for anything after Windows 7. There's a couple of fixes you can put in to aid things, but they appear to no longer work in Windows 11. I thought the timing to release coincided with this, but apparently not. I've not done a deep dive, but the file's seem relatively untouched compared to the other releases. Happy to change the score if this gets fixed, but can't recommend in the current state to anyone running anything newer than Windows 7. I'd like to see it running, and have the widescreen fix. Such a shame for arguably the best game of its type ever released.
