Total Annihilation: Commander Pack

RTS matched by no other.

You can have epic battles going on for many minutes, raging through the map as new units pour in and both sides try to maneuver their units the best they can to avoid hitting the wreckages of fallen tanks and robots. The commander and supporting builders move in from the back, building turrets, mines and production facilities to secure your position. While trying to deal damage to the opposing economy by sending planes and small skirmish forces to destroy mines and factories from the sides. The massive robot graveyards will be the only proof of an epic battle between two sides. Unless those are hoovered up for excess resources. It truly is an amazing game, the interface is a bit outdated, but after you get used to some of the silly controls (which could be fixed by mods if you aren't using windows 8) you WILL have a blast. I recommend playing it against friends, since bots are kinda bad. There are also people playing online on Gameranger, you might get your ass kicked though because there are some good players there. TA has a lot of indepth strategy options thanks to the uniqueness of each unit (even the ARM and CORE commanders differ from each other) and the ballistic model for bullets. There is no hitscanning in this game, if you see artillery you can dodge it with some quick moves. This also makes the battles very micro intensive, you have to get the right angle and try to pin your enemy into a corner or surround his forces. And don't forget about the amazing soundtrack by Jeremy Soule! This is the best shit trust me get it.
