This shall have some minor spoilers.. . . . I was enjoy the game well enough but I really can't get behind any of the 3 guilds you need to join in order to advance. This one guy you need to talk to won't trust you unless you join either the violent sociopaths, the strict smugglers or the secretive necromancers. Those are *not* guilds whose members I would trust in the slightest. Really breaks immersion. Also don't like the lockpicking mechanism. Just watch ghosts tell you which of 4 "lockpicks" you need to click on and in which order, then do it yourself. So very lame.
I didn't play very long. A few minutes in and I lost any interest in continuing. The dialogue just didn't hook me at all. The story didn't seem to be going anywhere interesting. Based on some of the other reviews here, I'm thinking I chose right to quit when I did. Would have been better off not even installing it. Got it free, though, so had to at least give it a try.
I ended up getting a free copy on another service, and I'm glad it was free because I'd have gone for a refund otherwise. The concept seemed interesting and I did have it on my wishlist for a while. Gameplay, however, proved extremely annoying to manage. The cards don't last too long. Base resources like cash and even health are a pain to keep. Figuring out where best to place the cards was frustrating. I found no redeeming qualities to this game.
Way too much time spent setting up the story. Nothing but reading, watching annoying pseudo-animations and tons of random words and acronyms scrolling around image boxes. Then there's the pure-text sequences with an extremely irritating typing noise. I closed the game and uninstalled on the 3rd or 4th such sequence. To sum it up: Long and annoying pre-gameplay sequence put me off completely. Wish I hadn't taken so long to get around to playing this. Can't get a refund now.
