Firewatch is basically a linear story game where you keep doing missions to process in the story. Unlike other games you have one mission at the time. I finished the game in about 3,5 hours with 100% of the achievements which seems a little short for the price when it’s not in sale. You can wander around and explore the map but it does not seem very big and interesting enough to do so. The game also doesn’t encourage you to explore because besides 1-2 things you cannot find anything special. The positive things are the lovely graphics and the good story which keeps it interesting and makes you want to find out more. It’s a good game if you want something chill and cozy with a good story, I wouldn’t recommend it though if you focus on gameplay. This game would probably be better as a book or movie.
