I don't understand people's hang up on graphics. It's tragic that people's ability to enjoy a game is dictated by the visual stimulation offered. This game has a fantastic soundtrack, great voice acting, a great storyline, and the overall mood of the game is exactly what it should be. If you're a younger gamer who grew up in a world of better graphics, don't let the aged look of the game deter you from experiencing one of the very greatest examples of art in the video game world.
This is, more or less, the fantasy successor to System Shock. While it is mission based rather than constant, Thief shines because of a detailed world, suspenseful gameplay, a strong story, and fantastic art direction.
