The first time I played Myst was when I was 7... and when a kid is aimlessly clicking around the game, you know they're helpless. However, I just tried this game again now that I'm in my 20's, and it's actually understandable, as well as fun. It's a game that is better for those who enjoy story and reading(not to mention puzzles), but the stories were really good in my opinion. I enjoyed how the difficulty is not super easy, but not impossible. Of course I had to look up a guide for a few parts that I got stuck on, or things I forgot to write down... and there were a few times where I literally got stuck, like in the tree where you become trapped if you don't do it properly. @_@ Otherwise, this is a great game for story-lovers and puzzle/mystery-solvers. The graphics really aren't bad at all, even for 2013 standards. It's not high end, but it's better than most current games'(speaking from an MMO player's POV) graphics.
I wish I had known that I could buy this game for just $8 here... I already bought it for $30 on Steam. I don't regret owning the game at all, though. It's a lot of fun. If you liked RCT 1 and 2, you would like this game. It's very similar in design and controls. The main difference is that this one is in 3D, and you can freely move the camera angle, and even view things in first-person, including riding on rides, which is very fun. The customization is also fun and easy. It can be a little buggy like the past games, when it comes to terraforming, but this game allows smoother and more realistic terraforming, as well as allowing the old methods as an alternative. I would definitely buy this here if I did not already buy it.
I have had this game since I was a kid, and now that I'm in my 20's, I have gotten the urge to play it again. It's really interesting how some really old games can still be as fun as when you first played them. This type of game just never gets old, especially if you love to be creative.
