The game, altough not complete and with some missing features, is in a perfectly viable state, and it can provide hundreds of hours of fun. In a massive procedurally generated world, the developers have created an incredibely rich and immersive environment, with a depth of narration and lore-buillding that very few titles manage to deliver (Dwarf fortress to name the most famous one). The setting is a visually stunning esotic retro-futuristic lost world in which you will (if you are into this type of sci-fi) get lost in and be amazed by the copious amount of game mechanics, builds, and way of thriving and dying in an extremely alien world. So, if you are into sci-fi and hard rogue-likes, this game is for you. Recently the devs have introduced a new mode that ease the difficulty by toggling permadeath, and another one that allows you to explore the game without having to care about fighting. On top of that, they are currently devoloping a new more modern UI, so the game is playble also with less keys (altough controlling your character just with the keyboard is fairly easy and intuitive). Further more, they have added some starting builds that really help new players to get a feel of the gaming experience without being overwhelmed by the complex mechanics. On the other hand, on a more negative side, if you are new to the genre this game can be really intimidating at first, and expect to DIE A LOT in your first playthroughs! But you will slowly start to understand how to play beside the basical commands, grasping the strategy and tactic behind the fight-and-flight mechanics. Adding another negative note (that does not reduce my five stars), as other reviewers have said, this version is not compatible with the Steam mods, so you will have to tinker a bit in order to make the mod works. Overall, I really praise the extremely detailed and engaging work the the small dev tems (mostly two) have done, and I really suggest you to give QuD a shot!
