Men of Valor

Medal of Honor meets Rainbow Six

This game is like a slower, more tactical version of MoH, so it can be pretty tough and challenging even on normal difficulty. Run and gun has no place here, you have to often fire from cover if you want to survive. Recommended, but only for patient players looking for a challenge! Works out of the box on Windows 10, just wait for the main menu if you can't see the intro video.

METAL GEAR SOLID

Masterpiece of a game, average port

Best PS1 game, period. This is not a perfect port (reason why I gave it 4 stars) but still better than the poorly emulated version included in the Master Collection. For example, while the MC version has stretched widescreen, this one can be played in true widescreen if you install a patch for that. Works out of the box on Windows 10, controller works just fine too - it's possible to play and beat the game using keyboard, but I'd not recommend that. Enhancements: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Metal_Gear_Solid:_Integral Pro tip: if you hold the fire and crouch buttons, you can aim while running. This will make the first boss much easier.

Alan Wake

What if Silent Hill were a TV series?

Amazing game, a must play to anyone that is into the horror genre. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is little enemy variety, in my opinion that's the only con of Alan Wake.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy

The best MK of the klassic era

The only downsides are the lack of widescreen support and move list, which could be included in a manual at least if not ingame. It's a bit overpriced for 2023, but subscribe to the GOG newsletter and you may get 40% off. Please remaster this game, NetherRealm.

Mortal Kombat 4

D-pad doesn't work

So your options are: 1. Use the analog stick of your controller 2. Use your keyboard 3. Try out different methods to make the d-pad work If you're fine with that, then go for it. Works out of the box on Windows 10.
