It is definately worth a download. Has a great setting and point-and-click gameplay, one of the best. Make sure you check out the maual ahead of time so you know what you are getting into.
This is a great game for any first person shooter fan. The controls may not be what you are used to in todays shooters, but if you want arrange the controls you can install eduke, which made it much more enjoyable to me. Duke Nukem is one of the best shooters from the mid 90's and I am glad it has finally come to Good Old Games. The main character Duke Nukem is one of the most humorous main characters ever. His quips throughout the game made me laugh more than once. The multiple settings of the game are varied and are equally amusing. It is easy to play the same levels over and over looking for every secret area and to achieve the best speed run possible. This greatly adds to it replayability. The enemies are varied and challenging. You can always raise the difficulty if you think it is too easy, but the upper difficulties can be frustrating, as it should be. You can end up playing this game for hours at a time and for only a few bucks it is worth the buy. The best thing about this game is that it is still supported by multiple modding communities, which allows for a unique and varied experience. If you enjoy playing any FPS from back in the day I would definately pick this one up.
If you look at every game in the Good Old Games catalogue you will be hard pressed to find a better title. If you are looking for a new game that completely immerses you in a great experience, this one is definitely for you. Great varied game play that will allow for a lot of replayablity. The combat and dialogue systems are better than most current generation games. The story and atmosphere are what will draw you in and the game play will keep you playing for years to come. Seriously, if you don't own this game already you are missing out on a masterpiece of gaming history.
I truely believe this is the best game on this site. This is why I started coming here. I just can't put it down. It is a RPG that allows a great degree of freedom. The fighting and leveling mechanics are unique and allow for you to play it the way you want to. The story is great and will keep you playing right up until the end. This game gives you enough to replay it over and over. It will take you a LONG time to get through all this game has to offer, but it is definately worth it.
