Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game, the gameplay is fun and engaging, the story has me hooked, but it has it's flaws. Before I adress the flaws itself, I will first touch on the hype and launch. There was a lot of marketing for the game, and all of was made to further the hype it had going for it's self. To the point where the game could never live up to the hype it had generated. Moreso, when you you consider none of the trailers really did the universe and setting of the game justice. Cyberpunk is a dark world, this has been stated over and over, yet the trailers fail to relay how dark it actually is, foccusing more on the action and hype. Combined with the delays and less than impressive launch, made it so that it was already cast in a more dim light than everyone anticipated it would stand in. Combine this with the inconsistant perfomance and bugs, and you got yourself a game right for bashing. I personally play with a 7th gen i-7 and a gtx 1070. and the game performs decently on high settings for me. with a average fps between 55 and 60 fps, and some dips to 30-35. Cyberpunk 2077 is a wonderfull game, that will have a special place in my heart, I remember playing the tabletop as a 12 year old after school. and now as a 21 year old, who has been waiting on this game for over 7 years. I can say this is everything "I" personally wanted out of a cyberpunk game. I trust in CDPR, and I will continue putting my trust in them. I am sure that in time, Cyberpunk 2077 will rise to be the game it was meant to be.
