Hey everyone, as many people have said Carmageddon TDR2000 was not really great, the greater surprise this game is tho! I have been a backer of the game when it was introduced and I have it here as well. It is really good game, which will sometimes upset you. That is the difficulty. Personally, I find this a great mix and I'm happy to have it.If you are a sadi*t, just get it. If you like driving, get it. If you like those two things together, Carma is great option. I will keep playing as it is fun. Lots of splashes.
Review of the 6th part in the series, haven't tried previous yet- I always end at the one only: It is one of the games that you will play few times and each time differently. I would advise not to look on manuals as it would be shame. Just get in and play. You may die few times(ok - many), but the challenge will keep you entertained as it is well balanced. As one of them said, the game has little of story, but it isn't that important - the dungeon crawling and developing is amazing. Better than in 7th part, which introduced limitations(shame). I have had this game on CDs, so I have no achievements here yet. But I will get there, don't ya worry!
You need to read a review about Diablo I? You must be young(congratulations!). Anyway, what are the warnings? Graphic is dated. I mean, you get very low resolution and the screen will have cut outs, rest will be black. The game mechanics are dated. Yes, you can have only 4 spell shortcuts. Also it has some limitations that make no sense, like you can't run in the dungeon. One of the few games that by killing one monster you can level 4 up right away(magician hell difficulty) I did mention warnings. That is all. Everything else is amazing about this game and I would advise to purchase this gem. I have played it previously multiple times and I shall play it again. It is simple and easy to learn and manage game. It isn't perfect, but I love it non the less.
The review for the original game is 5*, period. I love the game, I have hard copy of the original game, the extension and purchased the anniversary edition on Gog. I have also bought the Ragnarok, which is pretty good! And I have Titan Quest on my mobile phone, Android. When I have seen new expansion, I went for it right away. I shoud not have. It doesn't offer much, only one map, that is not even a normal full act. It is rather added story and short at that. While I would be happy to see additional stories available, the price could not be 13.99, but less than half. If you see an offer for this price, go for it. But it is a big NO for the full price. There isn't even a new skill added in. Also, it has multiple glitches, when I got stuck in the middle of the map unable to move. Twice. Also, dropped items "keep on jumping" and so you aren't able to pick them up and if you rin(as usually you do), you gonna miss them. Happened to me that I went back thru the map again to fulfil a quest and found many items on the floor. What? I don't leave them at all, I was thinking... Well, get used to it. Also, the bestiary hasn't introduced anything revolutionary. The story, which I have loved in the original, had minimal details, or storytellers. It just looks like someone had created it without any kind of insight what Atlantis was, nor an idea. Well, I got it now and I would not ask for a refund, but the disappointment is really there. That is all I can say about the "extension" (should be really only a story).
You haven't played it yet? Go ahead, buy it and play it, it's worth it! You will play this game for many many hours, making it one of the best investments you can. And the price? Especially on offer, amazing! SO - JUST BUY IT, YOU WON'T REGRET IT! (I owe this online version and the CD from back then too)
I have a physical copy of the game for the last good 15 years - and still playing the game. This is one of the few games I keep getting back to. The other game is Diablo II. Legends! If you buy this game, you will ultimately have to learn to play it. once you do so, you will love it. Strategy, morale, troops, magic, skills and sooo much more. Some may say that the graphic is not detailed. Well, I wouldn't care less. Get the game and you will see what I'm talking about :)
