Cyberpunk 2077

Fantastic Game That'll Only Get Better

I came into this game expecting a high quality narrative & character based game from CD Projekt Red, and I truly feel they delivered on that front. The game certainly has its flaws and it is by no means perfect - I've encountered many glitches, and there are certainly many systems in the game that need a lot of work, but in spite of that I can't help but love this game. The story kept me very engaged, the characters were extremely memorable, and the world was probably the most beautifully crafted I have seen in a video game to date. The side quests, too, were very fleshed out, and the combat was well executed. Overall I had a great deal of fun and I spent several days playing deep into the night because I was so immersed in the stories the game told, and that to me is a mark of a good game. All that being said, CDPR has a lot of work on their hands. They need to address non combat AI if possible, improve the police system, iron out the glitches, fix car navigation and permit key remapping. I also really hope to see CDPR flesh out the game with more mechanics come future DLCs / expansions. The potential this game holds should CDPR choose to do so is very exciting. If you can wait, this game will only get better from here, and if CDPR plays their cards right, I think this game will possibly become one of the "game of the decade" greats that people will love and play for years to come. Until then, I would still wholeheartedly recommend the game to prospective buyers, with the caveat that in its current state, you will encounter many bugs and most likely see lots of missed potential as you play through the game. Overall Score: 9/10
