This is probably the best RTS ever made. 1) Huge maps, in which the fastest units took several minutes to move from corner to corner (and they were fast!). 2) 3D-terrain that actually affected the gameplay and made indirect fire very deadly. 3) Long range cannons and nuclear missiles which would be considered OP in any modern RTS. 4) Underwater bases! Powerplants, aircraft factories etc could be build on the ocean floor <3 5) Absolutely delicate unit control taking micromanagement to the new level. With some powerful units like stealth fighters, sniper bots or Mavericks, a skilled played could actually go commando, dodging cannon shells and rockets (and even guided missiles with fighters by perfectly timed sharp turns). 6) Very wide selection of units. Where most of the RTSes had only few types of ships and aircraft, TA had loads of them, plus a number of amphibious tanks and kbots, including hovercrafts. 7) Music made by Jeremy Soule... In my opinion this should be played in tournaments instead of SC2.
