Nox™

Nice, but nothing spectacular

I missed Nox back in the day, but was aware that it was always as a very good Diablo-alternative. By playing it now after being utterly disappointed by the recently released Diablo III, I was hoping that Nox could lift up my spirits a bit regarding my ongoing search for a really good Action-RPG with a focus on the story. Sadly, that's not really the case with Nox! It plays nice and smoothly and has some very good ideas - the different characters, the special abilities - but it lacks depth, features some overly long levels and has a very thin story. It was fun to play it through once, but this is a game that will sadly not get stuck in my memory. So, in terms of real good Action-RPGs, I have to stick with Divine Divinity, Titan Quest and Dungeon Siege 2.
