Nightmare Reaper

Does a lot and succeeds in it

Hooo boy, finished it once and lemme tell you, it was one of the best experiences in long, long time. Let me tell you about negatives first: it has *some* performance issues at times (I have way overkill computer but at some parts did lag on me, so beware if you're even slightly uncertain about your PC... just be aware of this) and some benefits need far too much grinding (looking at you, Pokémon clone). Out of that? You get roguelike-boomer-kind-of-looter-shooter with tight gameplay loop, with unique ways to unlock your enhanced abilities (platformer! pocket monsters! shoot-em-up! arena shooter!) with bazi- OK, not that many weapons but enough weapons with unique modifiers to fill your soul with warmth. And hell, with random projectiles, you technically get new weapons every now and then! Singular best thing? Since maps, hence textures and looks change often enough, it never overstays its welcome, keeping things fresh so you don't have to stare same locations all the time. Oh and music is banger. It is not the purest boomer shooter, but I recommend this experience. It is so good.
