Monkey Island 2 is a classic adventure game, one definitely worth playing if you enjoyed the first game. This remaster is overall quite good; although the remastered visuals are, in my opinion, not that great they are completely optional and thankfully, the voice acting is now also available for the original version of the game, which was not the case for The Secret of Monkey Island. The addition of audio commentary from the developers was also a nice touch, and gives interesting insight into their creative process and how this masterpiece was made.
The Secret of Monkey Island is a classic adventure game which I highly recommend checking out if you're interested in the genre. This remastered version is overall quite good; I liked having the ability to change between the original visuals and the new, remastered graphics and although I personally didn't find the remastered visuals that good, at least they're there for people who don't like old 90's graphics. The only flaw I can think of is that the original version of the game does not have voice acting, which is a bit of a shame. Overall still a solid remaster.
The Curse of Monkey Island is my personal favorite game of the series. From its visuals to its soundtrack, writing, voice acting... Everything is perfect and just works so well. Puzzles are challenging but never impossible to solve. The game also has some of the best humor in the series. A definite must play for anyone interested in good adventure games
Escape from Monkey Island is a charming and enjoyable addition to the series, well worth playing, despite certain tedious puzzles and visuals that (while I personally found them quite good) are a bit dated by modern standards. The writing is excellent, and the humor in the game works quite well. The game never takes itself too seriously, and is incredibly fun to play, which is the most important aspect of any Monkey Island game.
Tales of Monkey Island is a very good adventure game and one which I would highly recommend playing, especially if you are a fan of the previous games. The writing, gameplay, visuals, soundtrack, voice acting are all excellent and the game, while different from previous Monkey Island titles, remains faithful to the series in its storyline and characters. The game has some minor flaws (such as certain puzzles that can feel a bit tedious and a couple character models that didn't look that great) but these minor flaws can be easily overlooked given how good the game is.
