Shadow Warrior 2

Fun...but the prequel was better

I just ended Shadow Warrior 2 on "Who Wants Wang" (or Hard) difficulty and found it to be a very enjoyable experience. In large part due to the fact that I skipped almost all of the side quests and focused on the story missions. This game has remarkably boring side quests and it's obvious they are meant solely for the sake of padding the game. But thankfully the game doesn't force you to endure them in order to progress the main story. The gameplay is sublime and incredibly fun. It is simplified compared to the first game with a lot more customization options, which was a plus. I chuckled at most of the jokes, despite the fact most of it is of a juvenile nature but they're a Shadow Warrior franchise staple so fine by me. Sorely missed Hoji's presence. His constant banter with Wang was legendary. Kamiko just wasn't anywhere near as witty or fun as the first game's sidekick.
