World in Conflict: Complete Edition

Solid tactical RTS

Haven't played many missions yet, nor touched the multiplayer options in search of skirmish modes, but what I have seen so far has been a great experience. Units are responsive, UI is streamlined, buttons are not daunting or confusing, the timing of the action is well thought out. Even with a so-far complete lack of base building, I am really enjoying the atmosphere, the mission objectives, and the combat in general. Well worth the 13 bucks it was on for.

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri™ Planetary Pack

Great but has problems

One of my favourite games. Love the options to manage my forces by hand, or automate them completely. The technology offers interesting choices, such as submersible troop carriers, missile-loaded aircraft carriers, and even something called a behemoth, which offers a high-mobility weapons platform with armour options. Just about anything can be armoured, come to think of it. Drawback is the stability, mostly. Have had to stop using cruisers of any type because of the naval glitch that no one has ever fixed. Still worth a buy, as others have mentioned zero crashes on certain systems, and the game-breaker that I have found has a work-around of just not using cruisers.
