Neverwinter Nights Diamond

DnD 3.5 For PC

Did you grow up with the classic DnD 3.5 Ruleset, do you still consider it the greatest fantasy role playing rule set? Well this faithful adaptation is brimming with replayability, character customization, but also caters to the casual community and has TONS of mod support. Pick it up on sale and enjoy hours upon hours of fantasy role playing gameplay. Want an example of just how creative you can get? I made an armored dwarf wizard/fighter with an enchanted dire maul. I had to take off my armor to cast the spells until I got the still spell feat, but I've never been shy so it didn't bother me. ;)

Army Men

Retro Plastic Warfare

Lose that tub of army men you had growing up? No problem, you can't lose these little foot soldiers. Take a knee, line up your sights and blast those filthy tan soldiers from behind cover. Or lob a mortar over their base ontop that pesky watch tower. Order your men into cover and take out that enemy tank as quick as you can with a bazooka. Lob a grenade into the enemy platoon or better yet, just call in an airstrike. Just keep your eye on the enemy flame thrower infantry, or you'll be inviting them over for a barbecue. Retro fun with a sprinkle of that old school difficulty. But if you find yourself frustrated, just throw in a few cheat codes and go john rambo. Only pet peeve I have with the game are the mouse controls. Ended up playing keyboard only, but that wasn't too much of a problem since when you use cover correctly the enemy has a hard time taking you down. A 90s Classic.

Immortal Redneck

Doom meets Roguelike (In Egypt)

The game's combat feels like the latest incarnations of Doom, except you have a lot more guns and abilities. The gore isn't there but that means it's great for all ages so I can't fault them for it. The game's progression is a mix between an RPG and a Roguelike. You level prup your character with a passive skill tree between runs like a RPG and you can choose between different favors (classes) at the begining of each run. The favors decide what your starting weapons will be (you can find alternatives during the run) and the favor also gives you a special ability. The game's exploration is really fun, with challenge rooms full of traps, maze like passages and pleasant vertical platforming. That said it can sometimes feel stale after playing the same pyramid for the 100th time, but because of the breakneck speed you can play this game at I wasn't bothered at all. If you enjoy first person shooters and roguelikes you'll love this game. There is a lot of content for the price.
